Sleep Behavior Disorder

Question

What options are there for the treatment of REM sleep disorders? And how do they stack up in terms of effectiveness and cost?

Advice 1

I suggest you investigate commercial products such as E-Nur-Tone, which essentially provides biofeedback during sleep (it's cheapest and fastest solution for some). Then, consult a psychologist or psychiatrist or specializes in sleep disorders. Medications or psychotherapy may be suggested depending on their evaluation. All these methods work but one size does not fit all. Good luck!

Advice 2

Clonazepam and GABA are two medications with good track records. Many University hospital teaching centers have sleep disorder clinics, and treatment there may be covered by insurance, with proper referrals.

Advice 3

Clonazepam is a very effective benzodiazepine compound which can be found in generic form for less than a dollar a pill.
